Charlotte Trafton - Lead Teacher

Ms. Trafton joined the GSES family in 2001 as an Assistant Teacher while working on two Master degrees - a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Masters of Divinity from the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Ms. Trafton became a Fours Lead Teacher and the school Chaplain in 2006. She served as Assistant Head of School during construction of the new school from 2013 to 2015. She returned to the classroom as the Lead Kindergarten teacher in 2015. We are proud to announce that Ms. Trafton has been ordained as a Presbyterian Minister! In addition to her full time position at Good Shepherd, she also serves as the Children and Family Minister at Westminster Presbyterian Church. 

Angela Bearden - Assistant Teacher

Mrs. Bearden joined the GSES family in 2015 as a Fours Assistant Teacher and then became the Pre-K Lead Teacher. She is currently an Assistant Teacher in the Bridging Kindergarten program and loving every minute of it! Mrs. Bearden has a degree in English from SMU and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from East Texas State University. She taught 1st Grade for eight years at the Lamplighter School in Dallas. She taught Kindergarten, Fours and Threes at Westminster Presbyterian Preschool and Kindergarten in Dallas.

 Jennifer Timmermans - Assistant Teacher

Ms. Timmermans first joined the GSES family in 1999 as a Fours teacher while completing a degree in Elementary Education. She left GSES to teach 3rd through 6th grade but returned the following year as an Assistant Teacher in Kindergarten. Following one last departure to pursue other interests, Jennifer returned again to GSES and discovered her true passion for teaching art to young children. Ms. Timmermans has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Science and is certified in Early Childhood through fifth grade. She loves to watch each child's progress and growth throughout the year and is especially passionate to be a part of developing the artist in each child.
